Call termination, transit and otiginating

In the end, all telephone lines are interconnected, be it through KPN or another provider. KPN's modular call termination, call transit and call origination services give you access to all of the components you need to provide a reliable and comprehensive telephony service. If you don't have your own network, our Outsourced Telephony Services (OTS) offer might be just what you're looking for.

Call termination: international, fixed and mobile
With call termination services, you give your customers access to all other mobile and fixed telephony networks in the Netherlands and the rest of the world. Your network is connected to every other telecommunication service provider's network around the world.

Call transit: reach numbers on the KPN network
Our call transit services enable your customers to reach end users on KPN's fixed network. These can be special telephone numbers such as 088, 085, 14xy and 116xyz.

Call origination: services for KPN end users
Our call origination service enables you to include end users of KPN's fixed network in your customer base. KPN delivers your customers' telephony traffic through services such as Carrier Select and Carrier Preselect or 0800/90x connect.

Outsourced Telephony Services
KPN's Outsourced Telephony Services enable you to provide your end users with telephony services under your own brand without your having to exploit a telephony network. This you do by outsourcing network components and services for fixed telephony to KPN, such as the hosting of service numbers and the investment in and maintenance of switching capacity. This enables you to focus entirely on marketing and selling your products and services. KPN's Outsourced Telephony Services consist of the KPN PSTN Rent a Switch Service (PSTN) through which you rent switch capacity from KPN to host your CS or CPS prefixes, 0800/90X/06760 numbers and two-stage dialing solutions.

KPN is committed to delivering services of the highest quality. KPN does not distinguish between your end users and its end users. KPN's robust and high-quality telephony network has a redundant twin network configuration all the way down to the local number switches. This configuration enables KPN to guarantee an extremely high availability for the network. By carefully choosing the network components and exploiting an optimal network architecture, KPN provides voice quality that is nothing short of excellent.

Quality is a continuous priority at KPN. KPN's retail and wholesale services are available 24x7, 365 days a year. The performance of KPN's telephony network is closely monitored 24x7. In the unlikely event that problems occur in the network, KPN guarantees repair times of 2, 4 or 8 hours depending on the nature of the problem. KPN has a dedicated service desk for its wholesale customers, whose specialised staff is familiar with the agreements KPN reaches with its customers.

Our network and wholesale services enable us to provide a wide range of functions. KPN's fixed network enables you to reach any number whether it is a geographical, mobile or a service number, or whether you are calling a national or international number. KPN has implemented the registration of voice traffic to precisely measure and register the call start and end times so that we can invoice only what you use. KPN's wholesale telephony invoices include all of the information you require for your business processes.

TERMINATION SERVICES

KPN PSTN Terminating Access Service
KPN's PSTN Terminating Access Service is the voice termination service for voice traffic to geographical, 088, 088, 14xy and 116xyz numbers that are implemented on KPN's fixed telephony network.

KPN PSTN 085 Terminating Access Service
KPN's PSTN 085 Terminating Access Service is the voice termination service for voice traffic to nomadic numbers in the 085 number range that are implemented on KPN's fixed telephony network.

KPN PSTN Emergency Services Access Service
KPN's PSTN Emergency Services Access Service is the voice termination service for voice traffic to emergency calls (112) to the regional police units.

TRANSIT SERVICES

End User Services

KPN PSTN Premium Transit Service
KPN's PSTN Premium Transit Service is the voice transit service for voice traffic to geographical, 088, 088, 14xy and 116xyz numbers that are implemented on networks other than KPN's fixed telephony network.

KPN PSTN 800/90X Transit Handling Service
KPN's PSTN 800/90X Transit Handling Service is the service for voice traffic to 0800 and 090X service numbers that are implemented on your network. This service gives you access to the end users on networks other than your own, who wish to use the 800/90X service that you provide on your network.

Number Services

KPN PSTN 800/90X Premium Transit Service and KPN PSTN Freephone Connect Service and KPN PSTN Special Rate Services Connect Service

These services provide the transit of voice traffic to 0800 and 090X service numbers that are implemented on networks other than your own. These services enable your end users to use the 800/90X service that the other Dutch telecom providers provide on their network.

KPN PSTN Outgoing International Connect Service
KPN's PSTN Outgoing International Connect Service is the transit service for voice traffic to international mobile and fixed destinations.

KPN PSTN Select Carrier Connect Services
By choosing a prefix for each voice call made, your end users, who are connected to the KPN PSTN network, can route their calls to a telecom provider other than KPN. KPN delivers these calls to the third-party provider's network for further delivery.

KPN PSTN Pre-select Carrier Connect Service
The telecom provider that end users want their calls to be routed to for further delivery is set in KPN's network in the form of a CPS prefix.

This service enables end users, who are connected to the KPN PSTN network, to reach the 0800/090X numbers that are implemented on your network.

KPN PSTN 06760 Internet Connect Service
This service enables end users, who are connected to the KPN PSTN network, to reach the 066, 084, 087 numbers that are implemented on your network at a per-usage based fee.

KPN PSTN 06760 Internet Connect Flat Rate Service
This service enables end users, who are connected to the KPN PSTN network, to reach the 06760 numbers that are implemented on your network.

KPN PSTN Virtual Private Network Connect Service
This service enables end users, who are connected to the KPN PSTN network, to reach the 082 numbers that are implemented on your network.

KPN PSTN Paging and Personal Assistant Services Connect Service and KPN PSTN Paging and Personal Number Customer Billing Service
This service enables end users, who are connected to the KPN PSTN network, to reach the 066, 084, 087 numbers that are implemented on your network.
